Mark Harris – Professor, Global Studies, Liberty University
Dr. Mark Harris was raised in a nominal Christian home in Idaho, and became a Christian in 1978, a year after graduating from college and becoming a CPA. He decided to turn his attention to ministry and graduated in 1984 with a Masters in New Testament from Western Seminary. After graduation he continued as an accountant, and then in 1993 moved to Russia where he was involved in evangelism and pastor training.
He also completed his doctorate in Intercultural Studies, studying the effects of Western evangelism among Russian youth. Upon returning to the USA in 2002 he continued traveling and teaching overseas, and also built up his accounting business that served mostly Christian nonprofits. He is currently President or CFO for five Christian nonprofits, and adjunct professor in Global Studies for Liberty University. He and his wife live in Lynchburg, VA.
